Vice President – Construction

Greg Toepp is responsible for site development, building construction and tenant improvement projects for McDonald Development Company for the states of Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. Building construction projects include both speculative and build-to-suit projects. Mr. Toepp’s general responsibilities include overseeing due diligence of proposed sites, master site planning, coordinating architects, engineers and other consultants, preparing budget estimates, preparing bid packages, reviewing pricing and preparing contracts for both buildings and sites. Other responsibilities include reviewing and approving invoices and pay applications, assisting in the development of proformas and proposals, managing general contractors, performing site visits to monitor job progress and quality, and assisting property management.

Prior to development of industrial buildings, Mr. Toepp worked for general contractors such as Beers/Skanska, McDevitt Street Bovis and Indus Construction, where he managed healthcare, hospitality, corporate commercial, entertainment and governmental projects.

Mr. Toepp graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management (1985). He is a registered General Contractor (CGC 053580) in the State of Florida, and LEED AP accredited. Previously, Mr. Toepp was Vice President of Construction for IDI Gazeley in Orlando, Florida for 11 years, where he performed similar duties. In total, Mr. Toepp has managed 21 warehouse/distribution projects in Florida, Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia and New Jersey totaling over 5.85 million square feet with an approximate value of $490 million. In addition, he has managed tenant construction projects totaling 2.5 million square feet with an approximate value of $13.8 million. These projects provided for the development of approximately 410 acres of industrial property.
