John Gaskin joined McDonald Development Company in 2026 as Senior Vice President of Development, where he provides strategic leadership in the development of durable, investment-quality industrial real estate across the Southeast. He partners closely with capital sources, municipalities, brokers, key stakeholders, and the project teams to guide developments from site selection through delivery and stabilization, with a focus on disciplined execution and long-term value creation.

John has more than 30 years of experience in commercial and industrial real estate development. He has played central roles in building, scaling, and optimizing industrial real estate platforms throughout the United States. His expertise spans site selection, entitlements, capital markets, design, construction, leasing, and dispositions. He is known for strategic insight, prudent risk management, and aligning teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

John graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and a frequent panelist for commercial brokerage and industrial trade events.
